Every sign change in 2026
49 ingresses, 4 of them by outer planets — the year Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and Jupiter all changed sign, dated to the minute.
49 sign changes by the Sun and the planets in 2026 — the Moon's are left out — 4 of them by outer planets: Neptune into Aries on 26 Jan 2026, Saturn into Aries on 14 Feb 2026, Uranus into Gemini on 26 Apr 2026, Jupiter into Leo on 30 Jun 2026. One is a retrograde re-entry (Venus backing into Libra on 25 Oct 2026). The Sun's twelve ingresses set the seasons: the March equinox 20 Mar 2026, 14:46 UTC, the June solstice 21 Jun 2026, 08:24 UTC, the September equinox 23 Sep 2026, 00:05 UTC, the December solstice 21 Dec 2026, 20:50 UTC. Every instant is refined to the minute on a Swiss Ephemeris lattice — tropical zodiac, geocentric, UTC.
Now — Mercury enters Virgo, exact 25 Aug 2026, 11:04 UTC. The Moon is waxing gibbous at 90.9% illumination now.
With JavaScript on, this line is recomputed at load — the next event counted from the current instant, with the Moon's phase now (POST /api/objects). Without it, the figures are correct as of the snapshot.
Computed 2026-08-25 02:47 UTC · Swiss Ephemeris 2.10.03 (pyswisseph) via POST /api/scan (daily) and POST /api/scan/windows · tropical zodiac, geocentric, times in UTC. The static figures are recomputed on every deploy; the live block refreshes when the page loads.
Every ingress of 2026
Found as sign changes on a daily lattice and refined on a fifteen-minute window, interpolated to the boundary degree — the daily sample alone is up to a day late. Outer-planet rows are highlighted; a retrograde re-entry is a planet backing across a boundary it already crossed.

Retrograde stations in 2026

What this means for everyone
What an ingress is, measured
An ingress is the instant a body's ecliptic longitude crosses a multiple of 30° — the boundary between two signs. It has no duration; it is a time. This page finds every crossing of 2026 on a daily lattice, then re-solves each one on a fifteen-minute window and interpolates to the boundary degree, which moves the instant by minutes and sometimes across a midnight. The September equinox is the Sun's ingress into Libra, 23 Sep 2026, 00:05 UTC — 5 minutes into the 23rd in UTC, and still the day before in every American time zone. A table that prints days cannot say which of those it means.
The shape of 2026: 4 outer planets move
Most of the 49 rows are the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars doing what they do every year. The ones that give the year its shape are the 4 that come round once a decade or once a generation: Neptune enters Aries 26 Jan 2026, 17:35 UTC, Saturn follows it into Aries 14 Feb 2026, 00:11 UTC, Uranus enters Gemini 26 Apr 2026, 00:51 UTC, and Jupiter enters Leo 30 Jun 2026, 05:52 UTC — 4 outer-planet ingresses inside 155 days. The tradition reads a slow planet's sign as the theme of a stretch of years, so 2026 is a year in which several of those themes turn over at once, and it reads that way for everyone.
Why counts differ between tables
Some tables count only the planets and some add the Sun; some include the Moon, which changes sign about 160 times a year and would swamp the list; and some count a retrograde re-entry as a second ingress while others do not. This page counts the Sun and the nine planets, excludes the Moon, and includes re-entries — there is one in 2026, Venus backing into Libra on 25 Oct 2026, marked in the table. On that definition the total is 49, which is the figure the widely copied tables also give; the difference is that every row here carries a time.
Collective first, then personal
An ingress happens at one instant for everyone, and the sign a planet enters is the same sign in every chart. That is the layer this calendar can carry: Saturn in Aries is Saturn in Aries for the whole planet. What differs is which house Aries is in a given chart and which natal points sit in it — the two facts that decide whether a slow planet's new sign is a background theme or a dated transit. The outer-planet rows below hand off to the hub that dates those contacts by natal sign.
Tropical, and why the top result may not be
Many of the pages ranking for an ingress query are sidereal tables, in which every longitude sits about 24° earlier. The dates move by weeks: the Sun enters tropical Libra at the equinox, 23 Sep 2026, and sidereal Libra some three weeks later; Mars enters tropical Leo 28 Sep 2026, 02:48 UTC, while a sidereal table has it entering a different sign on a different day. Neither table is wrong; they measure from different zero points. This one states its frame so it can be checked.
What the instrument claims
49 instants, each interpolated to its boundary degree, plus the retrogrades that begin in the year. It does not say what Saturn in Aries brings, and it does not rank the ingresses by importance beyond marking which planets are slow.
For your chart specifically
The four slow planets that changed sign this year each began a new run of contacts to every chart; the hubs date those contacts by natal sign, and the app dates them to your degrees.
How this appears in Cosmic KPI
The calendar marks each ingress on the day it happens, and the Life Cycles view draws every slow planet's sign as a band across your timeline with the retrograde re-entries shown.

Common questions
- How many planetary ingresses are there in 2026?
- 49, counting the Sun and the nine planets and excluding the Moon: Mercury 13, Venus 12, Sun 12, Mars 8, Neptune 1, Saturn 1, Uranus 1, Jupiter 1. One of them is retrograde re-entry.
- When does Saturn enter Aries in 2026?
- 14 Feb 2026, 00:11 UTC. Neptune entered Aries 26 Jan 2026, 17:35 UTC, 18 days earlier.
- When does Uranus enter Gemini?
- 26 Apr 2026, 00:51 UTC. Jupiter's ingress into Leo follows on 30 Jun 2026, 05:52 UTC.
- When are the equinoxes and solstices in 2026?
- The March equinox — the Sun into Aries — 20 Mar 2026, 14:46 UTC. The June solstice — the Sun into Cancer — 21 Jun 2026, 08:24 UTC. The September equinox — the Sun into Libra — 23 Sep 2026, 00:05 UTC. The December solstice — the Sun into Capricorn — 21 Dec 2026, 20:50 UTC.
- Why does another site give a different date for an ingress?
- Two reasons, and the frame is the bigger one: a sidereal table puts every ingress about three weeks later for the Sun and a different day for each planet. The smaller one is the clock — these are UTC instants, and an ingress just after midnight UTC is the previous day west of Greenwich.
- What does an ingress mean for my chart?
- A planet entering a sign enters one of your twelve houses, and begins a fresh set of aspects to whatever natal points sit in that sign. Which house, and which points, need your birth details; the app computes both and dates every contact.
