What is in the feed

Five kinds of event, and nothing that needs a chart. Each event is a one-hour block at its exact instant — a lunation or a station is a moment, not a day — except the retrograde periods, which run from the retrograde station to the direct one as a single spanning event.

  1. Copy the feed URL and add it wherever your app accepts an internet calendar or an .ics subscription.
  2. The Download link imports a one-time snapshot instead — it will not update; use the URL for that.

What this means for everyone

Why a subscription, and why this content

A page has to be visited; a subscription arrives. That is the whole difference, and it decides what belongs in the feed: only what is true at the same instant for everyone. A new moon at 12:01 UTC is a new moon at 12:01 UTC in Sydney and in Lima, so it can be one event in every subscriber's calendar without knowing who they are. Anything that depends on a birth chart — which house the lunation falls in, whether Saturn is crossing something of yours — has a different answer for every reader, and a shared feed cannot carry it. Cosmic KPI computes that half from your own birth details, and every event in this feed closes with the link to it.

What the times are, and what your calendar does with them

Every instant in the feed is a UTC time with no zone attached, which is how a calendar file says "one moment, everywhere". Your calendar app converts it to the zone your device is in, so the same feed reads 04:12 in New York and 18:12 in Sydney and both are the same full moon. The feed deliberately carries no time-zone block: adding one would pin every subscriber to one city's wall time and shift the event for everyone else. The one thing UTC changes is the calendar date of an evening event for readers far east or west of Greenwich — the minute is right; the day it falls on is your app's to decide.

How the events keep their identity

A subscribed calendar updates by matching each event's identifier against the last copy it fetched. If an identifier changed between refreshes, the app would delete the old event and create a new one — a duplicate for a moment, then a gap in any reminder that was set on it. So each event here is named by its own cycle, not by its instant: a lunation by its number since the January 2000 new moon, a station by which retrograde cycle of that planet it belongs to, an ingress by the planet's lap of the zodiac. Recomputing the sky with a newer ephemeris can move an instant by seconds; it cannot move an event into a different cycle, so the identifier holds and your calendar updates the time in place.

What is left out, and why

The quarter moons are not here — two events a month is the rhythm most subscribers want from a lunar calendar, and four would double it with the least-consequential pair. The Moon's own sign changes are not here either, because the snapshot only carries them a few months ahead, and a series that runs out part-way through a subscription reads as a calendar that stopped. Everything that is here runs the whole registered span, and the span grows by a year each time a year calendar is added.

Common questions

Is it really free, and does it need an account?
Yes and no. The feed is a public file; subscribing needs nothing from you — no account, no email, no birth details. The line at the end of each event goes to the app, where seeing what the event lands on in your chart does need your birth details.
How often does the feed update?
The sky snapshot behind it is recomputed weekly and the feed is regenerated with it (this copy: 2026-08-25 04:22 UTC). Your calendar app fetches the feed on its own schedule — Google typically within a day, Apple at the interval you set, Outlook every few hours — so a change reaches you at the next fetch.
The times look wrong for where I live.
Check the calendar app's own time zone, not the feed: every event is stored as a UTC instant and the app converts it. If your app is set to a zone you are not in, every event in every calendar will be off by the same amount, and this feed with them.
Why one-hour events rather than all-day ones?
A lunation, an ingress and a station are instants. An all-day event would have to pick a date, and the date of a 23:40 UTC event is different in Tokyo and in Los Angeles — so the feed keeps the minute and lets your app place it. Retrograde periods are the exception: they span from one station to the other because the period is what they are.
Can I get my own transits in a calendar too?
Yes — that is Calendar Sync in the app, which publishes a private feed built from your own chart: exact transits, pressure windows, the days that matter for you. Two different terms apply to it. Entering your birth details and reading the calendar inside the app need an account, and a free one does that; publishing your own chart to a private feed your calendar app subscribes to is Pro. Neither term touches the scope, which is the part that matters here: that feed is personal, and this feed stays public because it is not.
