Saturn square natal Venus
♄ □ ♀ — transiting Saturn at 90° to Venus in your birth chart.
Saturn square natal Venus is the period when transiting Saturn sits within 3° of a 90° angle to the degree Venus held at your birth. It comes twice per Saturn orbit — a median 14.6 years apart — and each window runs a median 60 days.

Without JavaScript, or before the calculator loads, the table below is the answer at Venus-sign resolution. Your own window is a slice of your sign's band: the band is when the contact reaches some degree of your sign, your window is when it reaches yours.

| Aries | upcoming | 21 Jun 2032 → 13 Jun 2035 (split by a retrograde) | waxing | — |

Each window is the contiguous period in which transiting Saturn is within 3° of square to any degree of that sign. Waxing = Saturn ahead of the Venus's degree; waning = behind.
What the contact means
What Venus marks
Venus in a birth chart is the valuing faculty: what a person is drawn to, what they treat as worth keeping, what registers as beautiful. Both the relationship reading and the money reading are downstream of that, and both are where popular interpretation of this contact goes immediately and stops being checkable. The geometry marks a faculty under a particular kind of pressure. It does not contain a plot.
The 90° structure
The zodiac cycles through cardinal, fixed and mutable in a fixed order, so two points 90° apart nearly always share a mode and differ in element. Both push the same way and disagree about where. Neither yields by default, which is the structural reason the tradition reads a square as friction that has to be discharged rather than waited out — and the reason it is distinguished from an opposition, where the two points at least face each other across a common axis.
Twice a cycle, and the two are read differently
Saturn squares your Venus from ahead and from behind, once each per orbit, at a median 14.6-year spacing across 2852 measured intervals on 1801-01-01–2398-01-01, weekly lattice. The waxing square, Saturn leading, is the first hard contact after their conjunction and reads as a test of what was recently set in motion. The waning square, Saturn trailing on its way back, reads as an accounting of what the cycle produced. The table above states which branch each Venus sign gets, because that is geometry and not a matter of opinion.
Duration belongs to the planet, not the aspect
A median 60 days inside three degrees, with 80% of windows between 46 and 167 days and a longest observed passage of 193. These figures are identical to those on the Saturn conjunction and trine pages, and that is a genuine finding rather than a copy-paste: at a fixed orb envelope the time a contact stays in effect depends on the transiting body's speed when it arrives, not on which angle it happens to be making. A Saturn square and a Saturn trine take the same time to cross the same six degrees.
Five or six times in a life
Because squares come twice per circuit, this is one of the more repeatable Saturn contacts: five or six occurrences over a normal lifespan, against two or three for the conjunction. That frequency is what makes it worth keeping a record of. A once-in-a-lifetime passage can only be read; something that comes round every fifteen years can be compared with itself, and comparison is the only check this material genuinely supports.
The count, and what it is for
1320 of 2854 decidable contacts perfected once; 1534 perfected three times, direct then retrograde then direct. Two is impossible. When you get three, the value of knowing it is not that the transit is "stronger" — it is that there are three dated moments inside one passage, and comparing them is a more informative exercise than watching a single date go past.
The limit
Cosmic KPI computes the window, the crossings, and the concentration of the surrounding sky. It does not forecast, and no Saturn–Venus angle corresponds to a particular outcome in anyone's life. The dating and the visible arithmetic are the whole of the claim.
How this transit appears in Cosmic KPI
A months-long contact is exactly the case where a curve beats a date. The pressure timeline shows the whole raised band with its one or three peaks, the terminal reports whether the orb is still closing, and the calendar feed publishes start, peak and end so the window has structure rather than just a length.

Common questions
- How often does Saturn square Venus?
- Twice per Saturn orbit — median 14.6 years apart, range 13.5–16.3 across 2852 intervals, so five or six times in a normal lifespan.
- How long does Saturn square Venus last?
- A median 60 days at the 3° envelope, 46–167 for 80% of windows, up to 193 across a three-crossing passage. Measured over 466 windows on 2020-01-01–2065-01-01, daily lattice.
- Why do a square and a trine last the same length of time?
- Because duration at a fixed orb is a property of the transiting body's speed, not of the angle. Saturn crosses the same six degrees of orb at the same rate whether those degrees happen to sit 90° or 120° from your Venus. The aspect changes the reading; the clock belongs to the planet.
- Is Saturn squaring my Venus now?
- Saturn is at 14.0° Aries as of 2026-08-24, and squares land on two opposite signs at once. Venus can occupy several signs for the same birth date depending on the year, so the calculator computes the degree first.
